Prepare
Your Items
Directions:
** Follow these directions carefully.
All items that do not meet our guidelines can not be accepted the day of
drop off. Remember the more eye appealing your items are, the more
money you can make.
**
There is a minimum number of 40 items and a maximum number of
200 hanging items
per consignor ID. (some categories have limits: 120 hanging items, 10
maternity items, 10 women's clothing, 10 pairs of shoes, 10 adult books)

Sort and
Review your items:

Please
read over our accepted items page
carefully before you prepare your items! This will save you
time because we will NOT accept certain items at check in!

Check
for stains, broken zippers, missing buttons, missing tags with the size,
bally fabric, tears,
missing pieces, etc. (anything that is not "like-new" will not be accepted at
check-in).

Children's
clothing sizes 9-12 must be brand name only.

Check
to make sure none of your items appear on the Consumer Product Safety
Commission Recall Lists:

Prepare your items
Clothes:
-
There
is a maximum of 120 pieces of children's clothing per consignor.
-
Wash
and iron if necessary (we will not accept wrinkled clothes).
-
Hang
all clothes on hangers. The top of the hangers must form a question
mark.

2+ piece sets must be hung together (we can not accept half of a
2-piece set).
-
Pants must be hung on a pant hanger, not folded over so
that customers can view without taking them off. (you
will not get your hangers back).
-
All
buttons and snaps must be done. Clothing should be
presented the same as it would new in a clothing store.
Tip:
Many stores such as Target, Wal-mart, K-Mart, Peebles and department stores
will give you left over hangers for free if you ask them. We
do give left over hangers to our consignors when possible at the end of
our sales.
Shoes:
-

Clean
top to bottom so shoes are free of dirt and scuffs, laces
and straps must be tied together and pin
tags to shoestrings or eyelets.

You
may also want to place a piece of masking tape on the bottom of the
shoe with your consignor ID, in case the price tag comes off.

Don't
forget there is a limit of 10 pairs of shoes per consignor.
Toys/Baby
Equipment:
-
Must
be completely clean
and assembled. (give yourself time to assemble at your drop off
appointment). Insert
batteries if required (customers will not buy it unless they know it
works) and include
manuals and directions if possible.

Place
small pieces in a zip lock bag and attach to them to the main item. Games
should be taped closed & contain all pieces
-
Tie
your tag through these items or tape securely. Do
not tape over the bar code.

It
is a good idea to write your consignor ID on zip lock bags with a
sharpie in case the tag comes off.
-
Books:
clean off covers and check for torn pages. Place price tag on the
back.
-
Videos/ DVD's:
must include matching cover. Place price tag on the back.
Furniture:
-
Clean
and assembled and include
manuals and directions if possible. You
may want to touch up chipped furniture with paint- it is worth the
investment! Give yourself time at your drop off appointment to
assemble your furniture.

Place
small parts in a zip lock bag and attach to the main piece securely.
Linens:
-
Wash
and iron if necessary. Pin
comforters and items to a hanger.
-
Smaller pieces,
such as towels, groups of bibs or changing pad covers, may be sealed
in a clear plastic bag or garment bag.
Books:

Print your tags and attach to your items.
**In
order for your tags to print properly you need to use Internet Explorer
as your browser.

Safety
pin or use a tagging gun to attach your price tag to the top right corner of the garment.
-
For all toys,
books, videos, equipment, furniture and miscellaneous items that you can
not attach a safety pin to; you must securely tape your tags to
them. Please make sure you tape the
tag so that it can be removed and still readable at check out. *Tip lock
bags works great for these items.

We can not accept
any tags with cross outs or white out on it. *Tip: use a hole punch at the top of your tag for the pin.

We
can not accept tags that are taped over each other.
-
Minimum price on
any item is
$2.00 so you may have to group more than one item together to reach
this price. (ex: 2 or 3 onesies together in a zip lock bag) Prices
must increase in increments of .50 or $1.00
Pricing
Tips:
-
Use
your discretion with pricing but remember if you keep the prices
fair your items will sell faster. The rule of thumb is 50-75%
below retail.

Price mart
brands (Wal-mart, Target, Kmart etc) lower than higher end brands.

We
recommend that you always mark your inventory for
"discount". This means that if your item has not
sold by the last day that a customer can purchase it for 50%
off. This will help you sell way more items the last day and
make way more money!
