Mothertime Marketplace was started in May 2006 by two mothers, Jessi Boardman and Jennifer Berry. They noticed sales like this were becoming a HUGE trend in other areas across the country and thought it would be fun to bring something like this to the Western New York area. They loved the fact that moms could make money selling their gently used items that their children have out grown rather than "giving" them away at a yard sale or throwing them away and contributing to this country's overcrowded landfills. Jennifer and Jessi pride themselves in the fact that Mothertime Marketplace is a quality controlled, extremely organized environment where customers can shop easily without having to pick through piles of inventory. Their event was designed especially with moms, grandmas and moms-to-be in mind. Jennifer Berry co-owner of Mothertime Marketplace is a mother of two. She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Business. Jennifer formerly owned a children and maternity consignment shop in Batavia, NY after being in corporate sales for 12 years. Jennifer is also a professional organizer and owner of Organize This Life, started in 2002 in Charlotte, NC and moved to NY in 2003. She is also the author or Organize Now! due in bookstores in Fall 2008. She currently resides in western New York with her husband and two children. "I believe in Mothertime Marketplace because it helps moms not only make money and save money but it also helps them Live Green by recycling their children's outgrown items. This leads to a much less cluttered house and a much more organized mom! It's a win-win situation for everyone. I really enjoy working with all the moms and making new friends with our volunteers". Jennifer F. Berry Jessi Boardman is co-owner of Mothertime Marketplace and also a mother of two. She received her degree in Special Education from SUNY Fredonia. Jessi was a flight attendant with Continental Airlines for five years and then a licensed Real Estate Agent. She also worked for a non- profit animal shelter as an adoption specialist for three years. She is very proud of her customer service skills and ability to see things through the eyes of the customer. Jessi has a true passion for the consignment business and has always had a real problem with paying retail for anything. Since starting Mothertime Marketplace she has found her love of both worlds-she gets to serve the community by giving them a phenomenal shopping experience at 50%-75% below retail prices and she gets to shop too!
